New Kimberly's Kreations!

I recently made this cute little desk as a teacher's present!  It has little drawers that open up to store small things inside, and Post-Its on top.  The drawer that's opened has some wrapped Hershey's nuggets in it!

And this NEXT creation is my FAVORITE!!!  It's a paper cake slices creation!  It can be used for any special occasion, when each one is opened, there are Hershey's Kisses inside for all the guests to take with them!

Our 10th anniversary card!

When I saw this cute little couple, I had so many ideas for all the different occasions I could use it for....but my 10th anniversary came to mind right away!  I love these 2!!

Baby's 1st birthday card!!

Here is a cute little easel card I made for a friend who's baby girl is turning 1!  I love this cute little Greeting Farm Princess stamp (and yes, I had to buy it ESPECIALLY for this card....sorry hun!)....and it made such a cute little card!  I have 2 boys, and no nieces in my family, so I don't get to make cute little girly cards very often....but I love them!!  This one was my HARDEST to give up!  LOL!!

Masculine Trend Challenge in the CLASSroom

So I made a card for the Masculine Trend Challenge in the CLASSroom!  It has to be masculine, have patterns or pockets, so this was what I came up with!
You can come play along, too, at http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2011/06/masculine-trend-challenge-pockets-pochettes-prints.html

Masculine Birthday Card-Sail Away

So after a week of not making a card (because my boys were out for summer break this week), I finally made one for my brother-in-law.  I really like how it turned out, but it sure did take me a long time.  It's amazing how distracting 2 little boys can be!!  That and the fact that masculine cards are tough to make sometimes.  I went with a nautical theme, which I know he'll love!!  I even made my first sailor's knot!  And without further ado, here it is:

Wow...what a day!

Today I was planning on making some more birthday cards for my client & friend, Jenny, but I just HAD to sit down and watch Oprah's last show.....which I DVR'd to watch when I had a free moment...LOL!  When does a stay-at-home mom have a free minute?!  But.....it was one of Oprah's best shows....and I have watched a LOT of her shows over the years.  She was the one who got me SO into Dr. Oz, and watching his new show all the time.  Her show today was Oprah just talking to all of us....but I feel like my mother was channeling her and talking directly to me about validating myself.  It was a TRULY powerful moment in my life that changed how I view myself.  I hope everyone, everywhere validates themselves and realizes how truly special we all are!!

And since I have to pick up my boys soon....and still have laundry to finish and dishes to do, etc, etc....maybe I'll get back to making cards tomorrow!!

Stamped Tiles/Custom-made Coasters!

I just up loaded a bunch of my recent handmade stamped tiles/coasters!  I forgot to add them after I made them all for a friend for her Mother's Day presents!  They make terrific presents, too!  How many people would like some cool stamped tiles/custom coasters?!  I LOVE the ones I made for my house.....and I have a TON of them!!  Every room has several coasters in it.  It's quite a conversation started, too!  And I love the fact that I can personalize them for anybody....men, women, kids....any occasion, too!  Here's a sample of what I made recently!

Sympathy cards are so hard to make!

I had to make a sympathy card yesterday for a friend of mine and a co-worker of my husbands.  This card was VERY difficult to make!  Not only did I want to make it perfect for her family, but I also wanted to honor her with a beautiful card.  It was difficult because every time I make a card, I always put my heart and soul into making it.  So sympathy cards, for those people I know, are tough to make.  Here's the card I made for her funeral on Saturday, May 21, 2011.
